Some similarity in shape, but it’s a very different fishy friend
You’d think this was some abyssal wierdo but I wonder if its not even marine. My suspicion is that it bongs to that most feline of fish orders, specifically those armoured ones that suck.

I just posted an old observation of some of these very critters on iNat. Quite a rainy day, but smoked, they were actually tasty.
