This week I have another guest mystery object for you to have a go at identifying, this time it’s from Paula Burdiel, who found the specimen in summer 2020 while beachcombing in Islantilla, Huelva (Spain):

This is obviously an Indian deep-fried crisp. Or it might be, as you suggested, a fish.

Somewhat! Definitely in the right family, but the details are a little off.

Defenitely a sea bream cranium (Sparidea), I’ll try to figure out the species later this week.
The one that turns into a Triassic archosaur if you misspell the genus turns, maybe?
