This week’s mystery object is a bit of a break from the cat skulls. Any idea what these two bones are and what species they’re from?

Zygoma 
The scapula reminds me of hedgehog or squirrel; that hook over the joint means it’s an animal with clavicles, so it does something that needs the chest to be braced, like climbing or digging. The humerus is adaptive too, looks like a very strong shoulder joint but less so at the elbow. Maybe it does something like the flying fox does, so the strain is at the shoulder end ?
I like your thinking – definitely quite a strong critter, but not a specialist…
The humerus has a a massive spur on it which presumably is the attachment for a big muscle – I think Jake is on the right track
Yup, good strong muscle attachment that enables a variety of behaviours.

I knew the bottom bone was a strong looking scapula, but had little clue until I read Jakes’ contribution. Something about hand-size which has powerful forearms maybe?
Sounds pretty good – although it’s probably not something you’d immediately think of when you hear ‘powerful forearms’…
