My first thought was in line with palaeosam, but should we be taking clues from those baleeny bristles and blob on the left in the background that looks like a auditory bulla of a “gert big fish”, as one specimen is (inappropriately) described in the Grant Museum’s archive?
i dont now exactly what species it is but its a head from a sort of h*******l i think an a***** u******** or an a***** P******* a cross section from the bill
It looks a little like a sketch I’ve seen of E*uu* *e*u* from the same angle…
That’s an interesting observation – mainly because it is a very different animal!
Is a cross section through a m**d***e, **sal space and b****c*se ?
Partly right, but no b****c*se
Hornbill !
yeah we know that but witch species thats the question xp
Eeee, lass, it looks like nought!

Those bristles aren’t baleeny as it turns out and there’s nothing ‘fishy’ about this specimen!

One of the largest of its type. Found in SE Asia. Subfamily B*********e; possibly B*****s r********s?
yeah i follow with you because the males from a***** dont have a black head so indeed i think b*****s r********s and probably a female
