A relationship with floppy haired 80’s gits Duran Duran here…it doesn’t belong to Simon Le Bon’s girlfriend or nick Rhodes’s woman, perhaps it belongs to one of Andy, John or Roger’s birds?
Looks a bit large for something an invertebrate might do, so suggests an avian seamstress, to me.

i will jump on palfreyman’s bandwagon, but adding i’m very impressed with the fine stitching shown on the upper leaf flap.

Well, Paolo, here’s the link. It gives it away. Unless I’m dead wrong on this bird, which is always a possibility.
In Costa Rica I saw a bees’ nest (Leafcutting bees, family Megachilidae- from ‘Ask an Entomologist’) constructed under a large growing leaf apparently folded by the bees- admittedly not stitched! But the size is right.
