    I’m off to bed in a mo, to round up on progress so far. According to the poll results up to now, just one person has correctly identified the skeleton.

    There is still the remainder of the weekend for those who haven’t voted to claw back some dignity – spread the word and see if victory can be snatched from the jaws of defeat!

    My first thought was a big ferret, pine marten or similar. 12.5 cm seems a bit small for a badger but then I think in old money.
