I think the start of 2020 is a good time to get back to skulls on the mystery object. Here’s a pretty cool one for you, although the photos aren’t the best:
Any idea what species this might be from?
Have fun!

Is this what is called (from my childhood Hamlyn “Animal World Encyclopædia”) a “back-fanged” snake?
I think you have something there! The closest skull I could find is from a snake that likes to roll over and play dead, lol.
A-ha! Watson, we have a clue!
😉
My hubby thinks it is a member of Elapidae family, which includes cobras. That’s as far as we get ( well, I can only get to snake 🙂 ).
Relatively small skull (4 cm?) so it makes me wonder if this is one of the arboreal ones. And yes, I am sticking with my “backfanged” idea (hence almost certainly a colubrid)…
