Pretty certain I’ve been picking lots of these in a much smaller and pickled state for the last few months! All I can say is “The Legs! Look at the legs!”
Thick Knees
Possibly colossally thick knees -could benefit from some leg warmers in the waters this inhabits!
Eleven limbs? When decapods go wild?
I think it’s lost one. There are usually 2 of the hooked feeding limbs. We have one in resin that has 14 limbs.

enormous arachnid from the deep, cold, salty south
No arachnid this but might get a walk-on part in Snow White. Probably be a robustly colossal star or maybe claw it’s way to the top.
Indeed it’s not really an arachnid, it was my attempt of a cryptic reference 😉

Really easy to identify to Class, but how many taxonomists out there work these out to Species? Perhaps Richard Brusca? …Pycnobase?
Probably why I don’t go deep sea diving, lol
Excellent! I’ve spent time looking for some of this one’s smaller cousins. But this one…wow. I bet is has some colossal gonidia!

This is an Antarctic Sea Spider (Colossendeis sp)! Not a true spider but a arthropod that exhibits gigantism!
