This week I have a mystery object that had been sitting a box for about 30 years with the tenuous description:
Here it is:
I don’t believe it – do you have any thoughts on what it might be?
As usual, you can put your thoughts, questions and suggestions in the comments section below. Hope you have fun with this one!
To me it looks far more like a mammal *tn, although I’m not sure what from, and the curve is very unusual.
argh, that got lost in formatting. I meant something-t-something-something-n-something-something
I figured that you’d figured that out 😉
You’re right it is indeed one on them.
A polar bear perhaps?
What Jake said + c***dae (probably common or garden variety)
I’d go with a dried up sternum with all those segments, but I’m working so no time to check.
thinking it looks more sternum than caudal vertebrae with the shape of the segments -the manubrium and what looks like rib facets .
Irish rugby team muddled from losing voice we hear?
That’s a proper cryptic crossword clue if ever I heard one!
Well, it looks like everyone’s worked out that it’s a sternum, but any more ideas about what animal it’s from?
Losing voice we hear? Looks too big for one of man’s smaller friends.
It certainly is! (Too big that is).
I’m not sure if I’ve entirely understood your clue – I may have done and you may be right, but if you can give me the first and a middle letter of what you think it is, I can be sure!
h–s-
Those dashes came out wrong! “h “something something “s” something
It’s OK, I get where you’re coming from. Not quite, but the closest so far!
Do I get extra points for clever-dick clues??
Most definitely!
Ah – cool!
Okay, could it be the beast of burden who carries cocaine?
